Anurag Kashyap’s daughter Aaliyah Kashyap might be far away from Bollywood, but she is a social media star. The starlet also has her own YouTube channel, where she posts videos regularly about her life and also interacts with her fans through QnA sessions. In one such session, she has now opened up about how she had cried constantly after facing cyber bullying, but she eventually got over it and now knows how to block negativity on her social media.
In her latest YouTube video, she was asked about how she deals with trolling. Replying to that, she revealed that initially, she would get very affected since she is a sensitive person. She opened up about one incident in particular- after she posted pictures of herself in lingerie. She revealed, “So social media negativity is something I have come to terms with. Like, I am a very sensitive person and even the smallest bit of hate does affect me, but I don’t know. I’m sensitive, I cry almost every day about the dumbest s**t. People were telling me that I should be ashamed of being Indian and posting stuff like that. People were sending me rape threats, calling me a prostitute, DMing me and asking me what my ‘rate’ was, sending me death threats, s**tting on my family. That whole incident of the picture got me a lot.”
So, how did she get better from there? She said, “I just realised that it doesn’t matter because these are people hiding behind their phones and have nothing better to do. I honestly just block everyone. If there is anything even remotely negative on any of my social media, I just block them because I want my social media to be a positive place.”
She also opened up about whether or not she has interest in Bollywood and revealed that the industry does not fascinate her, since she has grown up watching her parents and Bollywood from close quarters. She added that she wants to stay away from it.
