Jindallae, a contestant on season 2 of TV Chosun’s hit trot audition show “Miss Trot,” has confirmed the allegation that she bullied her schoolmate when she was in middle school about 20 years ago.

Jindallae apologized on Instagram Sunday by saying she was childish and careless.

“I deeply apologize to the victim who suffered as a result of things I did wrong when I was a student. I’m uploading this apology online after failing to make contact with the victim through acquaintances to apologize in person,” she wrote. “I regret it. What I did in the past was wrong and I was immature. I blame myself for my wrongdoing that traumatized the victim … As a mother now, I know I was wrong and I will regret it for the rest of my life and continue to reflect on my actions … If I have a chance, I would like to meet the victim in person and ask for forgiveness.”

The apology came after a netizen who claimed to be Jindallae’s schoolmate claimed Saturday that she was abused by the singer multiple times in various ways.

“One of the offenders of school bullying is appearing on Miss Trot 2 … She beat me at least once a month … She beat me because I didn’t bow properly or my greetings to her in front of her mother were too much,” the person wrote.

“She asked for an expensive present claiming that we are sisters. She also took me to an abandoned kindergarten and tortured me … She also borrowed money and clothes from me (and never paid me back)… I thought I forgot about everything over the last 20 years, but as soon as I saw her on TV, the nightmare returned and traumatized me.”

After the allegation, Jindallae’s agency Tstar Entertainment announced that she will drop out of the show to take responsibility for what she did in the past.

Debuting in 2018 with the single “Ari Ari,” she has been appearing on the show since it first aired in December 2020.
