Cyber Bullying Hits Alarming Levels In Kenya In The Last …

Kenya is known as one of the worst countries when it comes to cyber-bullying and with the current COVID-19 crisis, the vice has gone up to unimaginable levels.

Cyber-bullying in Kenya has led to suicide cases that have led many to commit suicide while others settle to deleting their social media accounts.

From celebrities to leaders, Kenyans online best known as keyboard warriors have not spared those they deem wrong as they undress them for a public thrashing that is as fatal as a physical one.

Today, 22nd June 2020, for example one Purity Mwambia, a journalist working with Royal Media Services is on the receiving end from Kenyans on Twitter popular as KOT

Purity Mwambia has been receiving the online thrashing that has included Kenyans online calling her unprintable words simply because she did coverage on Kenyans who flouting the set COVID-19 rules and did not air the misdeeds of politicians.

Betty Kyallo celebrated her daughter’s six-year-old birthday over the weekend in a small emotional ceremony and noted that she been through more ups as the baby had been hospitalized and in Intensive care at some point.

Cyberbullying and any other form of bullying can affect physical and mental health both in the short term and later in life.
