Kiwis playmaker Kieran Foran has been caught up in an online spat between his former partner and one of his team-mate’s partners.
Rebecca Pope is the mother Foran’s two children, but the pair split in 2016.
Since then, Pope has endured a wave of online abuse, but she said that had relented over the past six months.
That was until she allegedly heard from Kara Childerhouse – the partner of Foran’s team-mate at the Bulldogs, Michael Lichaa.
She detailed messages sent to her allegedly from Childerhouse in since-deleted social media posts which she said accused her of being a “bad mother” and putting Foran through “hell”, Perth Now reported.
“Just when I thought I had caught a break (no online abuse in over 6 months) I am again slammed with cyber bullying from a person I do not know,” she wrote.
“I’m in disbelief that another woman can send such horrible online comments to a woman she has never met and whom doesn’t know the truth of a family situation.”
It was reported that Childerhouse was with Foran’s current wife, Karina, when she sent the messages to Pope.
Childerhouse has since deleted her Instagram account.
Pope said the messages were “completely unacceptable”.
“It was evident to all, that the messages I received last night were completely unacceptable and a form of cyber-bullying,” she posted.
“Put simply, if I had found out that my daughter had received a message of this nature, I would have reported it to the police last night. I would also hope that these four parents (one being my children’s father and one being my children’s current stepmother) would also do the same.”
